🎨 How does it work?
Book a 1.5-hour session online, come in, choose your pottery, and start painting. Drinks and cakes are available to order to your table.
We then glaze and fire your piece, and it’s ready to collect in under 10 days (often sooner).
Can we book a private evening?
Yes. For groups of 10 or more, we can open the pottery café especially for your group on any evening of the week, subject to availability. It’s a lovely option for birthdays, hen parties, friends’ nights and work socials.
Private evening sessions aren’t shown in our normal online booking calendar. Call 01628 525609 or email us to discuss a date. See our private evenings.
Our regular public evening is Thursday Paint & Sip, 7pm–9pm, which you can book online.
💷 What does the £5 studio fee include?
The £5 is a studio fee per painter and includes:
- Studio time (1.5 hours)
- Paints and materials
- Glazing and kiln firing
Pottery is chosen and paid for separately in the studio.
🎨 I’m not very good at art – is this for me?
Absolutely. In fact, most people who come say exactly the same thing.
This isn’t an art class — it’s about relaxing, having fun and creating something personal. There’s no pressure to be “good”, and no one is judging.
We’ll give you simple guidance to get started, and you can keep it as easy or detailed as you like.
Some of the best pieces come from people who thought they’d be the worst.
💰 How much does the pottery cost?
Most pieces range from £7 to £30, depending on what you choose.
We’ve got everything from mugs and plates to ornaments and dog bowls.
👨👩👧👦 Do I need to book in advance?
We strongly recommend booking — especially weekends and holidays.
Walk-ins are welcome if we have space, but we do get busy.
⏱️ How long are the sessions?
Daytime sessions last 1.5 hours; Thursday Paint & Sip lasts two hours:
- 09:30 – 11:00
- 12:00 – 13:30
- 14:30 – 16:00
- Weekday 4pm sessions are also available. Check the booking calendar for dates and availability.
- Thursday Paint & Sip: 19:00 – 21:00 (regular public evening, book online)
- Private evenings for 10+: agree your date and time with us, subject to availability.

Studio fees are non-refundable within 48 hours of your booking. See our refund policy for details.

Yes — we host:
- Children’s parties (age 8+)
- Adult groups
- Birthdays & celebrations
- Team building

🍷 Do you serve food and drinks?
Yes — we offer:

👶 Is it suitable for children?
Yes — it’s perfect for families.
For parties, we recommend age 8 and over.
🐾 Can I do baby prints or pet prints?
Yes — we offer both:
- Baby hand and footprint keepsakes
- Dog paw prints (very popular!)

🏠 Can I paint at home?
Yes — we offer takeaway paint kits.
You paint at home, return the items, and we glaze and fire them for you.
🔥 Is everything safe?
Yes — we follow strict procedures for:
- Food safety
- Studio hygiene
- Kiln operation
Everything is done properly and safely behind the scenes.
🚗 Is there parking?
Yes — free parking is available opposite the shop.
If it’s busy, there is a cheap pay and display behind the BP (M&S) Petrol Station
📦 When will my pottery be ready?
Usually within 7–10 days, often quicker.
We’ll let you know when it’s ready to collect.
Can you post my finished pottery within the UK?
Yes. We can post most finished pieces within the UK for under £10 per piece. It’s a handy option if you’re visiting from further away or would find it difficult to return for collection.
Ask us during your visit to confirm whether your chosen piece can be posted and the exact cost. Postage is an additional charge per piece. Pieces are posted after glazing and kiln firing, so please allow delivery time on top of the usual firing turnaround.
