A catch-up during the school day
Meet a friend after the school run, bring a grandparent or spend some time painting on your own. Pick a mug, plate or another piece from the pottery available on the day. A simple pattern is a good place to start, and we can help with ideas and tips.
Choose a session in the calendar that fits your day and allow time for your journey. Tea, coffee and sweet treats are available to purchase separately.
Parent-and-baby keepsakes
Weekday visits are recommended for baby handprints and footprints. Make a keepsake for your own home or a gift for grandparents. If you’re coming with a parent group, contact us first: the café is small, and we need to agree adult, baby and pram space. Please use baby carriers where possible.
A daytime outing for your social or craft group
Bring a few members of your WI, u3a, friendship or community group for a one-off painting visit. Everyone can choose a different project, with time to chat while you paint. This is an informal pottery-painting session with help getting started, rather than a formal taught course.
Include accompanying non-painters in your enquiry and let us know about access requirements so we can discuss the space with you.
Home education, schools and supported visits
We welcome enquiries about weekday pottery painting from home-education families, schools and support organisations. Tell us the painters’ ages, group size, accompanying adults, preferred dates and any support or access needs. We’ll discuss whether the arrangements work for your group before you book.
For a creative project, painters could try colour combinations, repeating patterns or lettering on a ready-made pottery piece. If you have a particular theme or pottery budget, ask us first so we can check suitable options.
A team social within the working day
Try a weekday mug swap: paint a mug for a colleague, then exchange the finished pieces back at work after glazing and firing. Choose names and agree a pottery budget before you visit, or let everyone paint something for themselves.
It fits a normal 90-minute daytime session at the usual £5 studio fee per painter, plus pottery and drinks. Allow around 10 days for collection. Ask about a weekday mug swap with your numbers, budget and two possible dates. We’ll check the pieces and seating before you book.

Costs and collecting your pottery
The £5 studio fee per painter covers table time, paints, glazing and kiln firing. Pottery and refreshments are extra. Tell us your total budget per person when arranging a group, so we can discuss pottery choices.
Leave your painted pottery with us for glazing and firing. Collection is normally in around 10 days. If you’re making a gift for a particular date, check the timing with us before booking.
