A pottery-painting evening at your kitchen table, a family afternoon at home or a birthday activity in your own space. Our take-home kits let you paint away from the café, then bring the pottery back to us for glazing and kiln firing.

How take-home pottery painting works

1. Choose your pottery and collect your kit. Tell us how many people will be painting and when you’d like to collect. We’ll check suitable pieces and kit availability.
2. Paint at home. The kit includes what you need to paint your chosen pottery. We’ll explain how to use the paints and how to return the kit and pieces.
3. Bring the pottery back. We glaze and kiln-fire it at the café, then let you know when it’s ready to collect.

Prefer your finished pottery posted back to you? Once your painted pieces have been returned to us and glazed and fired, we can post most finished pieces within the UK for under £10 per piece. Ask us to confirm the cost for your chosen pottery. See UK postage details.

What does it cost?

There is a £5 fee per painter covering paints, glazing and kiln firing. Your chosen pottery is purchased separately. Tell us your budget when enquiring so we can discuss suitable options.

Ideas for your painting session

• A date night at home: paint a pair of mugs or bowls in your own styles.
• A birthday activity: choose pottery around a spending limit and paint at your own venue.
• Handmade Christmas gifts: personalise a piece with a name, message or family design.
• A group activity: enquire about kits for a community group or supported setting where painting in familiar surroundings may suit you better.

Please check the pieces and number of kits available before planning a group activity. If you need finished pottery for a particular date, tell us before collection; firing time starts after the painted pieces return to the café.
